Welcome GiveHope's Tribal Project.
Our property has undergone vast changes since the first sod was turned by Preetham & Victoria Kadari a few years ago. Since the early part of 2014 children have been calling this their home away from home.
This property has also become a place of refuge for some children whose parents are often intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. These children eat and sleep overnight and return home when it is safer to do so.
At the urging of the local primary school principal, we have now also started a Tuition Centre, which provides free tuition to primary aged school children for the surrounding villages. Currently we have 20-30 children coming after school each day, where they receive a snack, play games, get help with homework and also learn English. In the evenings, most stay on for a meal before either staying the night or walking back to their huts. About a third of the grounds have been plowed and cultivated for growing vegetables and the team has planted close to fifty cashew nut and pine trees.
