GiveHope Education is a scholarship programme for children of poor widows in South India.  

This project was started as a result of the need to support the House children from our first children's home beyond high school.  While staying in House of Hope Vizag, our children attended St. Francis de Sales High School, a highly respected private english medium school in Vizag.   This was walking distance from House of Hope.  However, to continue with their education beyond high school, the majority of the kids needed to go further afield.  As a result we launched GiveHope Education as a way to continue to support them until all their studies were finished and they were ready to enter the work force.  

In May 2017, Satya Challa, who started in our House of Hope at age 5, will finish her post graduate MBA studies at Andhra University. Through GiveHope Education, the generous support of sponsors in New Zealand and her diligence, this daughter of an uneducated rice farmer will step out into a new future with exciting possibilities.
