Where did it all start?
On Monday 27th May 1996, Paul Saunders started his first day of work for Global Task in this caravan. God had called him a number of months earlier, while he was ministering at a youth rally in Temuka to start a ministry called Global Task.
"Something happened to me while I was praying for the meeting that was just about to start that had never happened to me before or since. As I was praying it felt like a A4 courier package fell through my head and landed inside me and the words Global Task came into my mind. I knew straight away that God wanted me to start a ministry called Global Task, but I didn't know what it was or when that would be."
At first Paul thought at he would start Global Task in another ten years, but over the next few months God kept bugging him until he agreed to leave his full-time paid job at Baycorp and step out in faith and launch this thing called Global Task.
"I made an agreement with the Lord that if He would keep me busy, fill my days and pay my bills I would step out and start Global Task."
A few months later, in March '97, Stephen Saunders joined his brother and they worked together as a team on Global Task for many years. God has indeed kept His word!
